I’m very much an amateur artist, and I consider myself more of an experimenter than anything else. All my clay sculptures are made for people, and I tend to give them away. The paper mache planet was an experiment in designing three dimensional planets, and I hope to do more projects like that in the future. It’s a great way to visualize the planets I work with in my stories. Since writing is my first love, that tends to take up the majority of my time, so much of my art is on the back burner. What I do produce is mostly for me to take a break and work my creative juices in new ways; this has helped me to overcome writing blocks in the past.
